Back To School x's 3!!!

That's right I have all 3 kiddos enrolled in school this year!!! Kylie started kindergarten yesterday and the two little ones are in preschool!!! Kylie was sooo excited and she had some familiar faces in her class too. Kayla was a trooper, so independent...she kissed me good-bye as soon as I took her to class and said "see you later mommy!" :( Kaden ran into the play yard and went down the slide first thing. I told him I was leaving and he came down and threw his arms around me, laid a big fat kiss on me, then waved good-bye to me!!! Can you believe it??? No tears, no nothing!!!! My kids are growing up way to fast. Here are some pics of the first days of school for all three of them!

Doesn't she look so cute in her uniform!!

All ready back in the swing of things!

Little Miss Independent!!!

He wouldn't look at me here... too busy looking at all the kids around him!

Already at one with the play yard!!! I'll be back later... It's almost time for me to pick all of the up from school. Along with back to school there is also the much dreaded immunizations!!! The two little ones are getting their shots today...ouch!!! caio for now!!!!

Why am I so happy you ask??? I got my pictures and my photo CD from my Gypsy Isle photo shoot that we did back in June!!! I was so excited to see this package come in yesterday!!! Thanks Shawn. I'm so happy because Grandparents Day is just around the corner and what better gift to give than pictures of the grandchildren!!! Here are a couple of my favorite photos...there are sooooooo many and I can't list them all but here's a select few!!!

Believe it or not this is my FAVORITE family shot!!! This is my family in a nutshell...I love that Shawn was able to capture THIS moment. My son kissing me so sweetly, my hubby smiling so nicely, and the two girls fighting in the back...I LOVE IT! This is my life, right now!!!!

I've been tagged!!!

I've been tagged by my very talented scrappy friend Kristin Hayne. Love all the stuff she creates and I know she'll be a "Master" next year for sure!!! She's a "master" in my book already!

Here are 7 random facts about me:

1. I LOVE to collect things...whether it's scrapbooking stuff or not...I collect Barbies, Mr. Potato Heads, and now these new things called Mighty Muggs. I'm obsessed with these babies!!!

2. I am the oldest of 3 children. Me and two younger brothers (can't you tell I'm an only girl!)

3. I auditioned to be a Los Angeles Laker girl almost a decade ago and made it but didn't end up joining the squad for reasons I can't seem to remember! LOL!

4. I have a weakness for expensive purses!!! I know there are better things in this world to indulge in but I can't resist a good bag!

5. I LOVE Hello Kitty! My devotion for her has probably been the longest one of all. Started my collection of stuff when I was about 5 years old!!!

6. I'm a lover of hot rod cars and motor cycles!!! Before we had children we were apart of a biker club!!! lol!!! We used to ride sport bikes -- not harleys! I used to do tricks on them...like ride backwards, do stand ups and wheelies! I should try to post some of these picks... And I used to drag race.

7. If I had it my way I would love to have more children right now!!! I know everyone thinks I'm crazy but I really want to have a BIG family. 8 is my magic number but the compromise between the hubby and I is 5!

So here are the rules:

(1) The winner can put the logo on their blog.

You can Card Me!!!

I know it was Kylie's Birthday yesterday but a little box of goodies came for me!!! I was dying with anticipation for these babies to come in. You guys might think of it as a little silly for me to have a business card but on numerous occasions I have been asked for a card. Me staring blankly back..."I don't have one...sorry, but let me right my name on this piece of scrapbook paper!" Those days are over...I love it and the back of it is even cuter!!! Next time any of you see me, ask me for one!!! I will gladly give you one since I have what seems to be a zillion of them! I also changed my blog description to --For the Love of Paper-- What do you think??? Do you guys like it???

My Birthday Girl!!!

Kylie, my oldest turns the big 6 years old today. She's so excited. There already have been numerous phone calls to wish this little lady a Happy Birthday!!! Today I don't know if we have much planned becasue Tod still had to go to work but it will be on like Donkey Kong this weekend! She wants to go everywhere...from Universal Studios to the San Diego Wild Park... so we'll see where we end up going. As for gifts...hmmm....we are still debating on what to get her...believe it or not she's been wanting one of those Playstation PSPs. Knowing my hubby, he'll probably pick one of those up for her on his way home from work! Oh!!! I almost forgot about the Pottery Barn Kids bedding...it's calling to me. (who's birthday is it again!!! LOL!!) Oh and did I mention its official...she's registered to attend Kindergarten!!! My girl is growing up so fast!!!

A Halloween Hoopla Affair...

It's that time again... my friend Tina is hosting another fabulous workshop. The theme is Halloween -- my favorite holiday, not to mention my dad's b-day. If you haven't been to one of these workshops you should know you more than get your money's worth out of it. In this workshop you'll walk away with several different projects including a SPOOKY banner, (2) 12x12 layouts and much, much more. All will be featuring the super fabulous "Haunted" line of paper from Cosmo Cricket. For details on how you can attend this workshop go to her blog. What I do know so far is that it is scheduled for Sunday September 28.

The storm has finally passed....

Well we had the final service for my Aunt Rose yesterday... she was laid to rest at Forest Lawn. I feel such relief now that I know everything is done and she is at peace. Things can finally get to "normal" around here. Thank you to all those who left me such kind messages and keeping my family in their prayers... it meant alot to me.

Today we did some highly anticipated Back to School shopping for the kiddos. I hear this song playing in the backround as I mention those words...."it's the most wonderful time of the year!" you would normally affiliate this song with Christmas but I feel that is also appropriate for the Back to School season! We went here and here. I absolutely fell in love with this room when we went here!!! Isn't it just the cutest room?!?! I'm totally in LOVE with the bedskirt alone. Kylie loved it too. Her birthday is just around the corner so I'll be picking up the whole set for her and a matching set for Kayla. I loved it so much I asked if they made in cal king!

A sad day...

Today was a very sad day at the Bartholomay household... my sweet Aunt Rose passed away this afternoon. She is my mother's only sister and the matriach figure on that side of the family . It happened all of a sudden and was not expected. I myself did not have a chance to say my goodbyes. But I was there just after she passed. I was very much over come with emotion. All of these random things started to fill my mind --- I thought of my children and my hubby and how much I love them. I thought of my relationships I have with my brothers and thank God that the three of us are all close. I worry now of what happens to my mother and her brothers. It makes me feel sad that my mom can't talk with her, laugh with her, and just spend more time with her. What do you with that kind of loss???? I don't know how I can comfort my mom right now -- she was very close to her sister. That's all I have for right now... I'm super tired and emotionally drained and I really don't know what more to say...

Earthquake!!! The Aftermath...

Well as most of you already know, yesterday we had experienced our 1st earthquake with the kiddos. The news reported a 5.8 but if you saw my house you'd probably think it was a 8.0!!!! I currently live with my parents and their house is newly remodeled. Before moving in my mother decided that the house needed to be updated -- so everything is BRAND NEW from the granite floors (yup-GRANITE, the whole bottom floor) and wood upstairs, new funiture, kitchen, bathrooms, etc...
The kiddos and I were upstairs in separate rooms when the shaking started. I was watching Oceans Thirteen and the kids were watching Spongebob. It's a funny thing that I was watching Oceans Thirteen because it was at the part when Rusty (Brad Pitt) says to hit it harder!!! This is the part when they are causing the hotel to shake by the drill that they had positioned underneath the hotel, causing all the casino goers to exit. At first I was watching the screen while it started to shake and I realized that the whole room was shaking. A couple of seconds past by before I darted into the room next to mine to get the kids. In true 2-year old fashion Kaden was jumping on the bed laughing with Kayla -- Kylie immediately went underneath the bed! I shouted get out from under there and stand in the door way. (Did I mention all the rooms have ceiling fans!!!!????!!!!!)
Meanwhile I can hear things hitting the floor and falling. My mother is downstairs freaking out and my brother runs out of his room nearly half naked!!! Now this makes me laugh because my mother's first instinct was to save her big flat screen TV that is mounted just above the fireplace! I told my mom that she would have been crushed by the tv if it fell. My mother can barely hol1d Kaden let alone a 150lbs TV!
Then the phones didn't work for what seemed like forever...my first call was to Tod then to my cousins Leny and Neal who live in Chino Hills. After finding out everyone was okay we started to survey the damage. There was a bunch of broken glass everywhere...very HEAVY framed artwork fell off the walls - leaving huge gashes on the floor, crown molding, and the doors. Lots of my scrapbooking stuff got knocked off their shelves and dvds and books were scattered everywhere. I swear it looked as if the fault line ran underneath my house!
Well that's just a small bit of my earthquake story...where were all of you when the Earth started to shake????
